Deputy

Bought these beautiful Deputy Cobbler Men's Boot, desgined by BED:STU
they retail for $185.00 on their official website, but they went for $40 at the 1036 W Burnside Buffalo Exchange. They're incredibly comfortable and a boot that I was in desperate need of.

Old Mini Coop

Between SE Salmon St & SE Main St.
Portland, OR

If you live in Portland, you know that three things people are really serious about here are their coffee, beer, and bikes. But let's not forget that, despite it not being one of the most label driven cities out there, some of the city dwellers do know how to pick out a classy automobile.
I saw this cutie whilst heading to work and thought it was adorable, of course, because of it's color and how shockingly compact it is.

Doc Martens

Unfortunately, these sweet Doc Martens were not bought by me or my girlfriend.
We found them at the 1420 SE 37th Ave Buffalo Exchange location for only $30
I suppose I was trying to instill some crazy notion within us both about "self control", but it was our loss. Hopefully we shall see them again and not make the same mistake twice.

Bike Watch: NE Grand

NE Grand Ave
Portland, OR

Found this little beauty outside of a Walgreens, by chance, and really had to work hard to walk away from it. It definitely wasn't up for grabs, but I really need to buy a bike and this just tempted me sadistically. If there's one item that I've got a crush on (other than the iPhone 4) it's a nice, lightweight touring or road bike. Definitely on my list of needs right now, and this may be the week where I publicly & visually expose my slight obsession here.

What's your favorite thing about what you're wearing?
It has to be my shoes. My precious, Freddy Creeper's. They're by Alexander Wang. Best $200 I've ever spent. (They were on sale at Barney's in San Francisco priced down from $700.)

When you get dressed in the morning, is there anything that you keep in mind?
Black. As much black as possible. The balance of garments, as well. Jewelry too, I made this necklace.

What's the most important thing in life for you right now, or infinitely?
OD. Right now?
Yes, or infinitely... perpetually.
... Nonstop grasp on being positive, because... it's so hard to do.

Mezlan Shoes

Found these little darlings in a Pop Up boutique in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco, California.
They're Mezlan brand shoes and they can run anywhere between maybe $100 and $500
I picked them up for $10 (give or take some tax) and love them. They were actually a gift from my girlfriend; she asked me to try them on for her (even though obviously just looking at them I would) and bought them on the spot.
They've gotten worn now, and a shoe lace has broken off due to stress, but I'll never give them up.

What's your favorite thing about what you're wearing?
My Rose sweater made in Italy. Ive never been, but i hear its nice. Thrift store treasure from Savers in San Jose, CA. That place is a thrift store mecca as it is a gem. I also can't resist but include my brown tuxedo shoes which I wear with pretty much every outfit. Its the shoe that makes the statement for me!

Where do you find/buy most of your pieces?
its a mix of everything. Thrift stores to label brands to sale items. Its often the color and style that I'm attracted to. The tuxedo shoes are from Steve Madden and are worn out, but I still have time to polish them. Forever 21's line Heritage 1981 has cute and cheap clothes that I tend to get once in a while. Floral prints, pastels, and collared shirts are things I'm just naturally attracted to, especially in spring/summer.

When you get dressed in the morning, is there anything you keep in mind?
To not overdo the outfit and feel comfortable. Always have a touch of something that stands out.

What's most important in life for you right now, or infinitely?
Being around inspiring peers helps drive my creativity and passion is something that makes me happy.

Deena & Ozzy Oxford Lace-Ups

Clean, cozy shoes from Deena & Ozzy, found in an Urban Outfitters in San Francisco, California.
As summer is approaching (slowly if you live in the North West), these comfortable golf shoe interpretations would be the ideal companion to a cute pair of feet.
I won't have the pleasure of wearing this particular pair, as these are absolutely too small for my rather large feet.

Vintage Brown Boot

I really love the cuff of these boots, they were found in Pacific Beach in San Diego, California.
Possibly of Italian Origin, and I adore how worn they are. And that they were around $14 (so I'm told).
I'm also currently going through a shoe obsession and will be tracking down some of the spiffiest pairs in town.

What's your favorite thing about what you are wearing?
My leggings

Where do you find most of your pieces?
Second hand stores, and online. I got these tights at Black Milk clothing, James Lillis designed them. I love them!

What do you do to keep yourself happy?

I listen to a lot of music, spend time with my girlfriend... and dream. And sew.
