Genric Surplus Dury Shoe

San da Roda
Portland, OR

Managed to snag these Generic Surplus Dury Shoe's for my girlfriend for a mere $15
I found them at the 37th Avenue Buffalo Exchange and saw that somebody clearly didn't know how much these originally retailed for. Not even marginally close. If you're going to local stores like Palace, or even Urban Outfitters, they are going to go anywhere between 60.00 and 95.00
lucky me, and lucky she, that someone didn't do that math. They are gorgeous. I hope to find a pair of my own in such a way.

Pre-War (New World) Bentley

SE Belmont
Portland, OR

This may be a pre-war model, but the maintenance is definitely up to date (and damn consistent). Why does the person who can afford this car, also live in Portland, I ask you.
Definitely a sight for sore eyes, and a bit of a bite for a sore heart, (mine, of course) already yearning to have a vintage model of my own. Not that I can drive at all, having been born and bred in New York to family who saw driving in Manhattan much the same as Woody Allen's character in Manhattan (1979).
I'm sure my lady wouldn't mind picking up some of the slack in the driver's seat, though.....

VW Blue

NE Alberta
Portland, OR

This takes my mind to a better place, especially when thinking about the neighborhood we were in, and what this particular block just off of Alberta (on 29th ave) reminded me of. My lady & I were out celebrating recent successes and were transported (momentarily) to the one town in Southern California we both truly care for; Encinitas. A town that we'll be lucky enough to visit at the end of the month. We'll be be taking a road trip, but I'm sure we'd both prefer packing it up and heading south in this little well-maintained puppy.

Bike Watch: SE 37th Avenue

SE 37th
Portland, OR

Just have to say, I like the fenders on that model.
And yes, it sounds like some sort of weird, Portland pick-up line, but it's probably what the guy said when he as staring at the wheels on this chariot. Damn, now I can't stop.

Summer Buggy

NW Westover Rd.
Portland, OR

What a perfect example of what I expect of the summer: bright, cute, clean cut and sweet. I loved this little sunny Volkswagen. Not as much as I would have loved to hop in it and take for a ride to the river.
